The London Olympics in 2012.
The swimming events took place in 'The Aquadrome' a purpose built facility. The stunning design of this building with its silver exterior and sweeping lines was the inspiration for this picture. I wanted to capture the shape and essence of the building, the streamlined bodies of the swimmers, and to incorporate the Gold, Silver and Bronze of the medals, for which they were competing.
