Ruislip (pronounced ry-slip) is a village 14 miles
west of London who's origins date back to the
13th century. A number of buildings of that period
still survive today including the church, a manor
house and a number of what is assumed to be farm dwellings.
This building, originally a row of cottages, was built in the
early 1600s, it subsequently became the village shop and still
retains the unique picturesque qualities of the period.
It was those qualities that I tried to capture, with some
difficulty as it stands on what is now a fairly busy road
that goes to North wood. But its still a charming building with
its chimney and end walls now resting at more than a few
degrees off vertical, and the redness of the brickwork still
radiating a warmth on what was a very cold January
morning.
If you require a different size, please specify the
height or the width for the purchase price.
A framing service is available for UK delivery only,
please contact for details.
